BH2 Newmark and Savills appointed leasing agents for 220 Blackfriars Road
JTRE London has appointed BH2 Newmark and Savills to handle the leasing of its recently acquired 220 Blackfriars Road development, which is being delivered in partnership with Southwark Charities.
Newmark BH2 and Savills will be in charge of leasing the office and food and beverage spaces at the development.
Nigel Fleming, Joint Managing Director of JTRE London, said: “The appointment of Newmark BH2 and Savills shows our commitment to working with best-in-class partners to deliver this exciting new scheme. Our working relationship and their track record on our previous commercial office venture, Triptych Bankside, is exemplary where they achieved record values for the area at the time. We very much look forward to working with them again to bring to market the best new office space in SE1 for years to come.”
Hunter Booth, Director, Office Agency, Savills, says: “We’re delighted to have been appointed by JTRE London as leasing agents on a new 21-storey tower on Blackfriars Road, which has now secured planning permission and funding for the development. As buildings continue to evolve to meet occupier needs, we’re confident that this 219,000 sq ft development will attract occupiers who are looking for the best office space with outstanding views, strong amenities in a culturally rich location.”
Jack Beeby, Leasing Director at Newmark BH2, said: “220 Blackfriars Road is an exciting mixed-use development; the combination of characterful design, retail and public realm will provide a real sense of place and is the natural progression following the success of JTRE London’s Triptych Bankside development. The partnership with Southwark Charities also means this building will deliver genuine benefit to the local Southwark community. We talk a lot about ESG in office development, but here the ‘S’ is at the forefront of the design and ethos of the building.”
